Re: Mahjong news
I wish to cover all kind of news, but it depends how active volunteers I can attract to contribute to the site. I can support the site technically only. Any interested volunteers? Depends on what kind of news you're looking for. RiichiReporter does some news reporting, though it doesn't cover tourna...

MCR round seat change
Hi,
https://www.mahjongtime.com/chinese-off ... les-4.html
This chart seat change shown in this link applies only for first hand of next round, then within each hand of the round it simply turns counterclockwise e.g. East becomes North, ans South becomes East etc.?
Thanks,

Re: Zung Jung vs MCR
Here under MCR chapter I did not read such info:
https://www.mahjongtime.com/chinese-off ... rules.html
But those info are in zung jung chapter. As you said MCR have them, so I guess this manual is a bit cofusing. Any full manual of MCR?

Zung Jung vs MCR
As about differences of zung jung and MCR: I think MCR doesn't have
1) dead wall,
2) riverbed and
3) seabed tiles,
4) robbing a kong,
while zung jung have them? True?

Very interesting. What about a zung jung or a selectable/multi scoring versions mobile app?

I guess Japanese Riichi should be a bit difficult for newbies?
Are there a mobile app or an online site to calculate points of different play types?

Re: Robbing a kong and payment
1. You said: "When you make a big exposed kong by stealing a tile, you start with a pung (concealed) and it becomes a kong (exposed). You cannot rob this type of kong." 2. Also you said, winner has priority to steal a discarded tile. So in this case, winner doesn't have priority to steal the discard...

Re: Robbing a kong and payment
1. So "displaying" are done only when a steal happens, and if for example all pung/kung tiles are drawn, it should NOT be displayed?
2. So an exposed triplet (one tile stolen), can NOT be upgraded to kong by a discarded tile?

Re: Robbing a kong and payment
A clarification about the meaning of "concealed" please: If understood correctly "concealed" means all tiles of the set are drawn and NOT discarded. No matter if this is already exposed or not. In both exposed/un-exposed cases this is still "concealed" as long as all tiles are drawn? So even in case...
