Re: Where Winds Meet (with mahjong minigame)
After completing Chapter 1 the mahjong playspot at the inn becomes unavailable but you can access it again via a somewhat unconventional route which starts by interacting with the sword beside the tree east of Blissful Retreat's wine tower. Chapter 2 can commence when your character rank is at least...

Where Winds Meet (with mahjong minigame)
Today I've been investigating Where Winds Meet . It sounds like a mahjong game but it's actually a free-to-play open-world action RPG with a Chinese fantasy Wuxia setting (like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) so there's lots of fighting, heroic leaps and running up tall trees, but also lots of dunge...

Re: Here's the situation.....
Alternatively (depending on how many tiles are left and how dangerous opponents look) just pass any wins, hold out for an exhaustive draw with the Tenpai hand and receive up to 3000 pts.

Re: Here's the situation.....
Generally video-games will always give you the freedom to pursue any of the options that are technically possible, regardless of whether you'd be skipping a win, becoming Furiten, continuing with a hand that has little potential to add value (Yaku or Dora) or even reducing your hand value. Here's an...

Re: My hand of the week
In a mahjong anime this would be your superpower.
That's some nice added value for a Honitsu hand.

Re: Here's the situation.....
It is an interesting scenario to have several distinct options after the first row of discards. Personally I've always gone for half-flushes too often, even "Bakahon" (fool's Honitsu) with no added value. A similar term could be applied to Toi-Toi (the "Pon Palace" I guess) as it can be hard to comp...

Re: Mahjong at the movies?
Brilliant work - there was so much. Merci beaucoup!
I'd be happy to help out but obviously need permissions to delete posts.
Also perhaps there is new improved forum code to deter bots? (in the perpetual war of measures versus countermeasures)

Re: Mahjong at the movies?
Just saw this post. Evidently this role-playing game (with good mahjong name!) will follow Yakuza and FFXIV in having a mahjong minigame.
It releases in Europe and America tomorrow.
