Re:Riichi yaku/scoring quick reference.
Sure, it´s one of the other types of abortive draw - it´s called Kyuu Shu Kyuu Hai (nine types, nine tiles). If, on your first turn, you have nine or more different terminals and honours then you can declare a draw and have the tiles dealt again. I like to take it as a helpful indicator that I have...

Re:Riichi yaku/scoring quick reference.
Yeah, of course it´s not incorrect to say that you get Mangan on a five-Han hand but it´s not a complete description. The score tables do show the limit in effect - they just don´t draw attention to it. The new footnote should say 40+ for 4 Han by the way. Oops... fixed. Oh, and I assume you chose ...

Re:Riichi yaku/scoring quick reference.
Oh, in that case the normal tables already mentioned it, just the limit hands table didn\'t.
And the issue with Dai Sharin has been fixed.

Re:Riichi yaku/scoring quick reference.
I assume this is copied from the EMA guide since the layout is very similar? You have the same confusing translation where Iihanyaku is given as One Yaku when it should be One-Han Yaku (etc). I didn\'t like the original, so I made my own in a similar but better lay-out. I also cross-referenced the ...

Re:Riichi yaku/scoring quick reference.
There is a space missing in Sousuushii, it says "... windsand..." Also you should remove the "... and a pair" from Toitoi and Ryanpeikou. It\'s unneeded and inconsistent (you don\'t have it on Suu kantsu for example). Done and done. Haitei Raoyue is only going out on last selfdraw from the wall, if...

Re:Riichi yaku/scoring quick reference.
Is there a scoring difference between open and closed tanyao in mfc?
Never mind that, I fixed it, please tell me if there are any other mistakes.

Riichi yaku/scoring quick reference.
I have made a quick reference sheet for the yaku and scoring, in this case the yaku as used in Mahjong Fight Club. The italic bolded yaku need to be concealed. http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/790563/Yaku_and_scoring_reference.pdf Edit: Made an oops, open tanyao is allowed in MFC, pdf has been updated to ...

Mahjong fight club PSP: translated yaku?
Does there exist anywhere on the web a translated guide for all the yaku in this game, because I sure as hell can\'t read them in the mahjong guide submenu :p

Re:advice for a novice european player
What is wrong with the eMahjong client? It supports riichi and is in english, only the amount of players is very lacking.
Also, I really cannot play with 5 seconds of thinking time.

Re:Saki and Riichi?
Thank you all for the detailed answers :). I\'m getting closer to knowing the rules now, the only thing I don\'t really know yet are all the yaku. But I suppose those will come with time and experience, there aren\'t really THAT many. Anyway, I\'m off playing some mahjong fight club. Also: learning ...

Re:Saki and Riichi?
Thank you very much, I just meant the representation one. But thank you for the second answer. However, according to the EMA riichi rulebook, I think it should be: Scores after last hand: A: 21,900 B: 30,200 C: 31,400 D: 17,500 Add/subtract uma: A: 21,900 - 3,000 = 18,900 B: 30,200 + 3,000 = 33,200 ...

Re:Saki and Riichi?
I have to admit, my interest in riichi mahjong has spiked since watching this anime. I already knew a few things and now I\'m learning riichi mahjong proper. There are 2 things I don\'t understand though: 1. Is there any particular reason for setting tiles sideways on your hand? 2. The tally they sh...
