Re:Making Mahjong Card Game

wouldn\'t it just be easier to buy a premade card set, comes with everything you need and is only like 10€.

Re:State your nationality!

Finland for me as well. Offtopic: WorTeX, are you still planning to have that tournament in Helsinki? Muutin jyväskylään just, ja toi organisointipuoli ei oikeen ole hallussa, ja enpä tiiä saako jostain ydinkeskustasta kaheks päiväks suurta konferenssitilaa ilman että osallistujien pitäis alkaa sat...

Re:Open Tanyao

Would i come to a open tanyo tournament? Money is the main decider, but maybe once, but if it turnes out to be a allout crapshoot of open tanyo\'s, yakupung hands and hardly Riichi hands also problably the last. for fun, I could make some sort of statistics of my tables in KMT\'09, what winning han...

Re:Open Tanyao

you get EMA ranking from the upcoming golden dragon tournament which uses yakitori instead of red fives, which I think is quite funny, because yakitori bonus is almost random if I may say... atleast you could somehow keep track and control red fives. For a funny example, 3 players have their yakitor...

Re:Open Tanyao

MCR rules have been around more than riichi rules in europe, and there are more MCR tournaments than there are riichi ones. I don\'t have time to cross-reference mcr and riichi rankings list in order to see how many people play the both but hopefully you get the point.

Re:Open Tanyao

If they\'d change rules that open tanyao would be allowed, they should remove red fives at the same time to balance a bit. I myself get annoyed by closed tanyao when it\'s certain that people are going for big hands -while I\'m getting nowhere- and you can\'t shut them off by making a fast play with...

Re:missed win and final points

The missed win rule is like this = when you have riichi, if you don\'t declare, you cannot win from anyone, except by drawing the tile yourself without riichi, your furiten disappears after your own turn, so if player to your left discards your winning tile and you don\'t declare it, you can win aga...

Tournament training and strategies

Hey guys, just wondering, do you have any suggestions about a training program for tournaments? I\'m (possibly) going to Cherry Blossom Tournament in less than two weeks, and I need to polish my skills to the finest before that. Are there any useful things I should remember to practice beforehand? D...

Re:Do You Believe in

Was I lucky or unlucky when I got hit by a truck but survived and still being able to think and walk? I\'ve always wondered, and I also think that luck is rather a pendulum-effect in general, something bad happens, something good happens. Though there are people who just seem to fail miserably at ev...
