In Janryuumon you can continue playing if you go below 5000 points because you can refill up to 5000 free. When you try to join a game when you´re with low points a window opens. As Rosti said, there´s an optional rule wich blocks the chi shifting. It´s called Kui Kae Nashi. You must wait to the next turn to throw that tile you want to throw. But tht´s only if the rule is used.

It isn´t 88 points in chinese mahjong and 48000/32000 points in riichi mahjong?

There is no other yaku that can happen twice or more times at the same time.

If you use Mozilla Firefox I reccomend to pick the Rikaichan Applet. It uses the info in the dictionary of Jim Breen. When you put your mouse over a word this applet will show you a lot of info. Maybe it´s useful for you.

I learned about it because I´ve watch Nana, XXX Holic and I´ve played Yakuza 2 (Ryu ga Gotoku 2). When I looked on the web to learn how to play, I found Akagi. Then when I had understood the basics, I found Saki and Legendary gambler Tetsuya.
