Hi Ignatius.
In Japan I have never played in any games that award the 2-fu for rinshan-tsumo. This includes pro tournaments, cash games at parlors and home/private games.
I can\'t think of anywhere that they do use the 2-fu, but maybe we can add it in if you\'d like to give us some references (^^

Re:meetups - why sunday?
Hi Chalwa, You\'re right, for European players the time is really late right now. We would be happy to change it, but unfortunately neither Gem or I can make it on Saturday for Europe. I\'m booked up every Sunday from now until the middle of June. If someone could help us with starting the tables an...

Re:Dutch Red 5 Tournament
One idea that is often used in Japan would be to only allow continuances for Dealer wins. That is very common for cash games here and for some tournaments. So if the hand ends in a draw, the Dealer will change no matter who is Ready (tempai) or not. If the Dealer wins the hand, they get to continue ...

Re:Illustrated guide of waits with names
Only have a second, but this one: Ryanmentanki (unsure name) - I call it a \"floating pair wait\". Four consecutive tiles giving you a tanki wait on one side and another tanki wait on the other side. You are waiting on (22 345) and (234 55), for a total of 6 tiles. In both cases you end on a pair, s...

Due to the number of players, we have emergency-changed the format: We will play 5 games total, each player will play 4 games. Please play in each game accordingly and do not continue when it is your turn to sit out. Game 1: clacker, jcr661, Hidetoshi, Sloper chalwa will sit out Game 2: clacker, cha...

Re:mahjongtime hand question
My understanding is that on MahjongTime, that \"Ready\" tile means that you reached, so that isn\'t the problem. I\'d have to say that Poochy\'s theory about the furiten (missed win) 1c is the most likely problem. The board is really hard to read for me since I don\'t play CO rules. It doesn\'t look...

Re:changes -errors
Thanks Chalwa. I changed the menu around. I know the forums don\'t work perfectly now, but hopefully the site will be easier to navigate with the new organization. I know the menu labels overlap each other a bit, but we\'ll have a new site design in the next few weeks, so please bear with us until t...

Re:Furiten question
If you\'ve declared Reach, and you pass up your winning tile, then you are furiten indefinitely. If you have not declared Reach, then you must have a turn yourself before you can win on a discard again. If another player pons, skipping your turn, then you are still furiten. If another player chows, ...

Re:Hong Kong rule discussion for Kong88 Freeroll
*sigh. I\'m not able to put the $20 on with either of my credit cards.
I think we will have to postpone the freeroll.

Re:Hong Kong rule discussion for Kong88 Freeroll
Hello, I think the problem might be the $20 deposit. You must deposit $20 into your Kong88 account. You don\'t have to use it, but once you have made the deposit, you will get the Bamboo voucher to sign up for the freeroll.
Has anyone tried that yet? I will sign up now.

Re:How much do you actually play?
I play between 1-3 tournaments per week (usually 4 hours sessions, North-Kanto is 8 hours so 8-12 hours per week of that I guess), between 7 and 15 hours of Free (casino-style), 10-15 hours of Mahjong Fight Club at the arcade and usually try to get in 10-15 hours of online play per week. So I guess ...
