Re:Mahjong Fight Club ...... English Guide

Poochy wrote By the way, those mission translations look like the ones I wrote a couple months ago. In which case, you left in my original copy-and-paste error on Suzaku #4, it\'s 39 tiles. Correct As I said in the top of the post it\'s a bunch of info collated from various sources including this fo...

Mahjong Fight Club ...... English Guide

Having minimal japanese skills I learn the hard way to play japanese online and console games. One of the first things I do is try to find or piece together a guide to help me play. This post is an attempt at a nearly complete guide in one post (or at least enough for you to play plenty of games). F...

Re:Help with Mahjong Fight Club DS

I\'m in the same boat with limited Japanese Skills. I have added a post with all the information I have gathered from this forum and across the web into a single post entry As i get more information/additions/corrections (challenges, and options sections are incomplete for instance), I will update t...

Is that the one with the blue balls and the pictures of well dressed Japanese folk?

Re:Riichi/MCR Mahjong & the Nintendo DS

I picked up a copy of MFC from ebay and am eagerly awaiting delivery.

Are there any english guides out there. (My Japanese is very patchy ... I know enough to know which buttons to claim with but get a bit stuck after that ... at least until I learn some more japanese)

Tom

Do you have a DS or a DSi ?

I\'ve heard that the DSi is region locked and suspect this will cause a problem playing the Japanese games

More towards the serious.

I figure that the AI may be limited but would always try to avoid the funny games (too boring a person I suppose)

Re:14 Tile Dead Wall? ---- Rule Clarification Please

Yeah on Tenhou they just leave the wall split where it is graphically but the hand stops once there are 14 tiles left. Somewhat misleading I agree. http://www.reachmahjong.com/home/images/fbfiles/images/ScreenShot009.jpg I wonder when I forgot about the rule. I learnt from the EMA rules which clear...

14 Tile Dead Wall? ---- Rule Clarification Please

I would like a professional clarification please. iandstanley, you are wrong (not about 4 kans, but the dead wall). Dead wall in riichi always have 14 tiles. So when you are doing Kan dead wall is replenished, but tile is added to the other end So what Chalwa is saying is, when a Kan is made: KEY: #...

iandstanley, you are wrong (not about 4 kans, but the dead wall). Dead wall in riichi always have 14 tiles. So when you are doing Kan dead wall is replenished, but tile is added to the other end I have checked with the EMA translation of the rules which agree with this approach ... so other ruleset...

Re:Difference between Japanese and Chinese set

In MCR you can choose to include or drop the flowers/seasons. Huh! I never heared MCR have optional parts. Even if flowers are useless in MCR, you need 8 of them. (Else, it\'s not MCR but a home rule.) Sorry all just checked. When I first learnt MCR I checked out both the official rules and ...

Re:Hikari Sparkling Diamond Tile...

My guess is that the manufacturer has made this set especially for those players who would rather only have the option of 3 red fives. Suppose it could also be useful for marking the dealer, as the dealer token is, at least in some few Japanese rules I\'ve seen, is supposed to be the Last Dealer Mar...
