I've noticed that a lot of users' posts contain the dual string /' in place of apostrophes.
Perhaps this is because their computers automatically insert "smart quotes" (left-and-right single-quote marks rather than simple apostrophes)?
Or perhaps because those users are on a Macintosh computer?
Anyway, whatever is causing the /' string, it's a bit annoying to try to read, and if it can be determined what's causing it and a way to fix it, that'd be great.

Re: Smartquotes? -- /'
I'm thinking it happened during the transition from the old forums.
Re: Smartquotes? -- /'
I guess the old forum engine replaced quotes by their C Language form ( \' and \" ) for storing purpose, and convert them back at display.
Either the new forum didn't need to do this (and display \" as \" not " ), or it's a convertion error during the database move.
If I'm right, replacing \' by ' , \" by " and \\ by \ in all posts should correct it.
Gemma, Jenn can you take a look (and don't forget to make a saveguard if you attend to replace)?
This problem should appear only on old posts.

Cats don't do タンヤオ (tan-yao) but タニャーオ (ta-nya-o).
