The junk mat might be a little small for tiles that size, but I doubt you'll find much bigger ones. And if you do, it won't fit on a bridge table, even less on most regular tables.
You can also just use whatever piece of fabric as a mat, if you're ok with not having ledges.

Cats don't do タンヤオ (tan-yao) but タニャーオ (ta-nya-o).

Hi or2az,or2az wrote:Here is a picture of the set I play with. But, I would like large pieces for my hands, and older eyes. They don't have to be these competition pieces I mentioned above, but I'd like a decent set, color, quality. I don't want to "upgrade" to better stuff.
What do you like to use and play with?
Tiles are 1.5 inches high, 1-3/16 inches long, and 7/8 inches wide.
The ones on the left. Very stable and don't fall over.

Welcome to the forum
This was very helpful! You went through a lot of trouble setting this up for me, and I appreciate it very much. The link you posted also was great! I need to hit tag sales, I still have a little spare room in my home that I need to fill!

I'm getting an Ideal of what I can do. Thanks.
I've been watching a competition on YouTube, and am stunned of how quick these folks are. I'm glad I can pause.

Thanks anyway for replying Ignatius,Ignatius wrote:Hello Greg. And welcome onboard.
I'd love to help but my mahjong set was a gift, made of plastic.
And sadly don't know about inches, I'm on the metric system side.
Still, even if I can provide no help, welcome to the forum!
Being a citizen of the only country on the planet that doesn't use metric as a standard system - I appreciate your trying anyway.
Be Well,
