I've updated the forum to the latest version of phpBB.
The style have changed too, mainly because old styles ain't compatible.
I've tried to make it look like close to the old style, but you'll notice some differences.
Most notably the posts icons:
- Red dragon <-> announces
- Heart <-> sticky
- White dragon / blue back <-> forum/topic
- Green dragon / green back <-> unread forum/topic
- Star <-> subject you've posted into
- Lock <-> locked
I've also changed the captcha.
Let me know if you have any trouble.

Since the update, I have noticed that the main screen is different on an IOS device (2nd pix) from an Android one (or a pc).
On the IOS , the number of views for the post is missing along with the original poster and the date of the original post.
There are also other minor differences like the search box. Any explanation for this?

It adapts to the window size.
Your second screenshot is what you get on any browser when you reduce the window's width (and a 150% zoom !?).
It's supposed to make the site easier to read and navigate on small screens.
Mobile browsers can either match websites with their screen size (2nd pic), or render it for a larger size and zoom out (1st pic).
The forum tells them to match the screen size and no zoom, but browsers can just ignore it.

Initially I had this completely unnecessary abbreviation on a 19" laptop with only 110% zoom!

However zooming in further actually fixed the problem and now it correctly shows "Board index" even at 500%.

from what shirluban has stated above, I am guessing that, since the update, it is not NOW possible to see the full screen on a mobile device, at least I haven't been able to do it.
I tried chrome and firefox in addition to safari, also "show desktop site button". Did not work.
Googling the site now says "mobile friendly".
It's not a big deal but if anyone knows an easy way to get the full screen on an iphone/ipod touch, I would appreciate it. It used to be that way and I guess I'm a creature of habit.
Thanks.

Before the update, there was a way to make the printing larger by 2 sizes using up/down arrows on the main page. I cant seem to find them anymore. Is it still possible somehow?

You can use your browser's zoom to achieve pretty much the same thing.
Please tell me if it suits your needs.

went to 133% in firefox and 150% in chrome, print became larger and darker. much nicer. thanks.
one more thing, used to be able to hit the forward arrow on the main page and keep going, indefinitely, to search for recent posts. Now, I can only go to 5. Has this option been removed?
(not to complain, just for feedback, but i liked the previous format much better)

Ok, I've set it to "infinite", despite this setting being "not advised".
Looks like it works fine and fast, so I'll let it this was until someone reports the recent topics list killed their pet hamster or something.

I'm change the captcha... again.
This time, I'm tring the
Sortables captcha. It works by asking the new user/spam bot to sort a list of words into two categories.
Feel free to suggest your own lists!
