Ohh, that's weird... Well, as long I like the game, everything is OK.

Although they removed some major parts of the Kamuro map, they also added lots of new routes so there are still bits to explore.

There are many new shops/restaurants too and you can carry fights into the konbini.

I just noticed that the PS4 remake Yakuza Kiwami is 60% off in the current PSN store deals. (in the UK at least!)

I'll wait for another chance, already bought Zero and 6. It will take some time to finish both games...
Also my plan is to wait and see if SEGA pulls off something similar to this last bundle, when Kiwami 2 is out in the european PSN.

MAHJONG app by Cross Field. (See previous posts)
月例会 /Monthly Meeting, a competition between all the players owning the game, with fixed rules. You can play up to three times a day for free, and they will calculate who's the best based on average position. You always play against the AI.
Made it to #51 in October. I tried real hard, probably above and beyond.
Not sure if I'd be able to do it again;
But I will give it a shot.......
Update:
Have not been able to break into the top 100 in November through February.
It's not that I'm playing badly, there are just so many players that are doing much better.
I will play the easier version in March
Update:
Did better this month (March).
It was more fun.

News today says that D3 Publisher will be releasing the latest iteration of "The Mahjong" for the Nintendo Switch in June this year.

Edit: It looks a lot like the PS4 version. Switch trailer June 2018: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wa53eDq2QpE

While even the Japanese version lacks a mahjong minigame, I'm sure Ignatius will be pleased to hear that Sega have announced today a localised version of their RGG/Yakuza vs Fist of the North Star mash-up on PS4.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhDjlxLK2-k

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise is scheduled for 2 Oct 2018. It will feature dual audio options (Japanese or English) and extra gore.

I was following the game about The Fist of the North Star, glad to know it will come to western countries. And Yakuza Kiwami 2 will too.

And also Valkyria Chronicles 4. The first one is awesome, even with its flaws.

The Japanese game Handy Mahjong for the Nintendo Switch has an English version available called Japanese Mah-Jongg.

It's available to download for five bucks.

It has an odd split-screen mode for two players. You can print out a little paper partition so you can only see your side! :)

Any one have some info on the steam game called "Mahjong Riichi Multiplayer"? It's for 9.99, so I only have seen the screenshots.

One thing I didn't like it's in the screenshot where you can see a partial list, you see they've gotten for the "Closed +1" route, which we know it's not really how things work. Doesn't change anything, but it doesn't show good values, IMHO. There is some AI which I can judge, and there's a ruleset option in creation but it doesn't seem to offer much...

So, right now, I'm a bit aprehensive. Just wondering if anyone else here knows it. :)

For what I've read in the discussion board and the reviews of those who own it (seems they're few people), the devs work on it regularly, improving the game a lot, and the majority of owners, if not all, seem happy with the work done until now.

The game visual aspect seems simple, but good enough to play.

Still I don't know if I'd buy this game...

Already have those mahjong pretty girls battle games.

Sega recently announced a new PS4 game from the RGG Studio ahead of the Tokyo Game Show next week.

It's a detective game called JUDGE EYES: Shinigami no Yuigon. It's not a "Yakuza" game, but it has the usual Tokyo district and the usual streetfighting.

It's scheduled to release in Japan in December 2018 and in the West next year (working title for English version is Project JUDGE).

A demo is available on the Japan PSN store. It has two mahjong parlours marked as locations for playable minigames.

I saw a video of it a few days ago. Seems pretty cool. Didn't expect it to have mahjong on it. Good to know.

I'll try that demo out.

It picked my interest, and the demo could make me want to buy it.

Preordered The Fist of The North Star Lost Paradise even when I'm usually against preordering. Just because is The Fist and I really liked the demo.
