Sega's arcade MJ game ported to PC and iOS with cross-play between the two formats. iOS requires a JP iTunes account, unfortunately. PC version res is the same as the iPad. Whole thing's very beta right now. Free to play except for events and leagues. Janryumon took a lot of its basic look from this game: it's 3D and quite flashy.

That's kinda cool, although it would be cooler if the iOS version was more freely available.

They seem to have removed the full wall from the table layout but that's sensible for smaller screens; what you can see of the user interface in the short trailer looks pretty nice.

I'm just downloading the PC version and will check it out when I get a chance. Thanks for the heads-up. :)

I've played a couple of matches against the computer now (you can choose between four-player and three-player options).

It's a nice little game and the presentation is pretty good already. Aside from some minor jaggy edges the tiles have a solid realistic look to them and (yay!) you get the occasional hand nudges to straighten the discarded tiles as you might expect in a Sega MJ title. On PC you can select your tiles using the top row of the keyboard - unfortunately it's configured for a Japanese keyboard layout so a couple of keys don't work but you can use a mouse/touchpad instead. The window size is fixed - on my big home laptop it fills just over a quarter of the screen (9.5" diagonal window). The tile sounds are effective but the music is pretty repetitive!
