Tohai (2013) is a live-action series based on a manga about a high-school student drawn into an underworld of gambling.

Just spotted that Amazon Prime Video has both seasons of this, listed under the translated + original title - "Frozen Tiles TOHAI".

It has the original Japanese dialogue but English subtitles. Seems to have a good focus on the tabletop action (so far).
