... Damn Nikaido Rumi's luck is strong. Might go back and watch the whole thing later, kind of want to see how her hand got to that point. I guess she was aiming for tanyao?

Time to make use of those newly restored spoiler tags!
She started with the 89, Dora pair, one wind, no drags. Dropped the wind. Drew the 7 on her second turn. She was hanging onto one safer tile to discard against Ippatsu but her hand was making no progress. She was leading late in the match but it seems she's down overall in a league/tournament so the Dora Pon was too good to pass. Also she was into her third row of discards by then so worth pushing for Tenpai to grab some points in a draw and retain her dealership (assuming Oya Tenpai Renchan Ari).
