Intermediate Riichi Strategies by Feng

Post by Barticle » Sun Oct 13, 2019 8:17 pm

Feng (Tenhou 7-dan) released a strategy guide on Facebook for players at intermediate level (Tenhou 1-6 dan).

This has now been given a home outside Facebook by Rosti (formerly of this parish).

It assumes familiarity with the content of Daina Chiba's Riichi Book I which is available at the link below.

Started to read it but it's going to take a while.

Is Feng the same mrfeng who is also formerly of this parish? (Forum?)

Yes, it probably lends itself to reading in chunks - or picking out topics of interest.

Doh! I think I missed one - given the Singapore location, likely the same. Another RM forum graduate. :|

Been reviewing some of the other stuff written by mrfeng. Although he had only 41 posts on the forum over a 15 month period, 10 related to educating me on "another gameplay question" and 20 were commentary on WWYD.
There were many lengthy good discussions.
I learned a lot. Thank you, mrfeng.
