7-crak
We have a nice pattern in bamboos and two possible pairs ( 3-bam and 9-bam ), so I prefer to get rid of this extra 7-crak now, before it becomes too dangerous.
Cats don't do タンヤオ (tan-yao) but タニャーオ (ta-nya-o).

9-bam
It's a tossup between 7man and 9sou since there are 3 pairs in the hand and i'll only need one of them at the end...
In this situation, I prefer discarding 9sou because all I care about is a super quick win, and open tanyao might be a possibility here if I draw another middle tile that sticks (and if rules permit).
If I was planning to stay concealed I'd discard the extra 7man because I think I'm more likely to make a run out of the 5 7 shape rather than the 7 9 shape.

our only real options are: 9-bam 7-bam 7-crak due to the dora and the fact that other tiles are parts of complete sets.

our only options for yaku are tan yao, pinfu and reach (reach being the most likely).

9-bam discard is the best if you compare the odds of getting each yaku (more likely to get tanyao/pinfu, just as likely to get reach).
