Are you asking "where can I find large Japanese tiles with red fives"? Is that what you\'re looking for?
If you take a look at http://www.sloperama.com/mjfaq/types.htm you\'ll find some information on tile sizes, and if you take a look at http://www.sloperama.com/mjfaq/whereg.htm there\'s information on where to buy sets outside of Asia. You should also look at the Reach Mahjong shop too -- there should be an icon or link here somewhere (I see a "SHOP REACH MAHJONG" icon next to this box I\'m typing in).

I don\'t recall which site exactly. I did a Google search for "jansui pai" written in kanji. When I found the site with the right price, I couldn\'t place the order myself. For one thing I\'m functionally illiterate in Japanese, so couldn\'t navigate the purchase process. For another thing, they don\'t ship those overseas.

You realize those tiles for use in a dealing machine are more expensive than normal tiles, right? They have metal or magnets in them.

Anyway, I think I described the process I used in that article (one friend making the purchase, the other friend shipping the tiles to me).

I actually got 2 Amos Flat-type sets that look exactly like the ones in the video above from Mondo21. Probably because it\'s an Amos table, although most Japanese autosets look very similar given that there is a general font type for the tiles (Fishhook 9-man and North tiles), and I did it by using an intermediary service. However I wouldn\'t recommend it, even though I got two sets for 3400 yen off the auction, it cost 15900 total due to shipping and commissions. Also, they are very unwieldly for manual stacking because these are very small tiles. What you see on TV appears big because of camera zoom. 25x18x16 is not big at all.

Yes. I forgot to mention that when you buy tiles for an automatic table, you buy two sets. One set goes inside the machine, while the other set is on top being played with.
Also, about the stacking thing -- oftentimes, because of the magnets in the tiles, you can run into tiles repelling one another. One time I placed a tile and it flipped over due to magnetic repulsion, revealing its face.
