Anyone know where you could get/download a reach mah jong game for the mobile? All I see are those lame solitare like mah jong games. Would be cool to be able to play when you\'re bored.

Tina posted a while back about an iPhone app that lets you play Japanese MJ.

I guess the difficulty with most mobile phones is that the screen would be too small to give a proper display that lets you read all the discards.

If you´re serious about portable gaming then you should get a Nintendo DS or Sony PSP. There are several (proper) MJ games for both, although they´ll be in Japanese of course.

There\'s always Four Winds Mahjong @ http://www.4windsmj.com/

They have a version there for Windows Mobile (PocketPC).

It supports Riichi Mahjong, but strangely enough the points are scaled differently...as if the value of everything was decreased by 80%. The game still works, but seeing a Mangan not worth 8000/12000 points is just...weird...

But anyway, other than that it works pretty well, even if the visuals are dated. Barticle\'s right though, just use a Nintendo DS or a Sony PSP to play a better Riichi game - I play Yakuman DS myself when on the go.
