Made in Japan

Post by Gamegrunt » Mon Nov 09, 2009 12:58 am

The Riichi sets of Japanese manufacture (i.e. Taiyo Chemicals) offered on the web seem to be only available from Japanese sources - the buyer pays for S&H from the Land of the Rising Sun, which doubles the cost of the purchase. Are there no sources of these games that alleviate this expense? I know the quality is good, and I really have a yen to own one ;) , but are there no e-tailers in the states that sell these sets?

Uh, Tom...I was looking for an e-tailer that sells these sets. LA is a bit off my beaten path.

OK. If none were listed in that FAQ, or in FAQ 4b, then I don\'t know of any.

Tom, thanks for your replies and your wonderful website that contributes so much to the game of Mahjong.

Perhaps someone out in the community has a surplus set as described in this thread that they would be willing to part with. I have a large collection of games that might be of interest to someone willing enact a trade:

Regards to all,

Since the $57. or so shipping costs apply whether you buy one, two, three Riichi sets, I just need to find two other ppl to go in on an order. Howz about it, Dallas-Fort Worth Reachers?
