(Ask) Who will be the second place
Sory If i do repost,For the example :on the first east round ,East throw his first discard that make west go renhou, so east become bankrupt and the match end. the question is who will be the second place, as both south and north has the same point (25,000 point)
Re: (Ask) Who will be the second place
South and North will be 2nd ex-aequo.
The uma for 2nd and 3rd place will be shared between them.
For example, with a 30/10 uma:
1st: West 57000, uma + 30000
2nd: South 25000, uma +0 *
2nd: North 25000, uma +0 *
4th: East -7000, uma -30000
* (+10K + -10K) / 2 = 0
The uma for 2nd and 3rd place will be shared between them.

2nd: South 25000, uma +0 *
2nd: North 25000, uma +0 *
4th: East -7000, uma -30000
* (+10K + -10K) / 2 = 0
Cats don't do タンヤオ (tan-yao) but タニャーオ (ta-nya-o).

Re: (Ask) Who will be the second place
Sometimes tied places are decided in counter-clockwise order around the table starting at the wind marker, i.e. the starting dealer takes priority, then the player to their right, etc.
For example in Mahjong Fight Club (PS3) by default the scores are shown on-screen in white but at any stage of a match the 1st place score is tinted pale blue and 4th is shown pale red. At the start of the very first hand of a game when everyone still has 25,000 pts the player at east is shown blue because they're technically 1st and north is red indicating 4th.

Something very similar happened to me a few days ago --
http://tenhou.net/0/?log=2011082413gm-0 ... 6a72e&tw=3
West ron'd a kokushi off of East and ended the game in the first round of a hanchan.
I was north and got -15, south got +5.

Nice to see several new users posting this week. Welcome all.
Yes, that would suggest that Tenhou uses the rule I described for ties at the end of a match. South was nearer the starting dealer so they took priority, getting the higher position and the benefit of the uma.
