Re: Yakuman Club
Somehow Thursdays have been good to me - since in the last hour, I got this hand which went for a Kazoe Yakuman

It is also my first ever Ryanpeikou online, in either Janryumon or Tenhou, but this is a Ryanpeikou to remember!

Whoa, a Chinroutou. You don't see those very often.
Re: Yakuman Club
shame on センチビード for discarding that Chun.
Re: Yakuman Club
As opposed to?
Re: Yakuman Club
As opposed to a counted yakuman.
Re: Yakuman Club
At first glance, I was like: "How is that not Pao Rule?" Then, then answer is: "Oh, the same person musta dropped the Haku..."
Sure enough, that is the case.
And this takes me back to two instances of the Pao Rule happening in front of me. The first one: I was dumb enough to throw the third dragon. The second one: I witnessed someone else do it. Either way, the lesson of not dropping the 3rd dragon against 2 called dragons is a lesson learned the hard way.

#4 via Tenhou

OK. I got to tenpai a full turn before this. Once I got tsumo, my initial reaction was: "Oh no, why didn't I call riichi on this one?"
Likewise, I did not know the hand's true value until it was scored. But initially, I thought, "haneman minimum", in which, I actually failed to note the actually dora. Silly me. :3

Kyuu - If you didn't notice, the waits of your opponents as of the time you went out were as follows:
RHO: Chun and 3 sou (all of the waits in other hands)
OAT: 1 man and 4 man (has two Chun and one 3 sou)
LHO: 4 man (has one 3 sou)
Basically, as long as you yourself drew the 1 man (ankan on that) or 4 man and the hands didn't change, only you really could go out.

Re: Yakuman Club
My first Yakuman was Thirteen Orphans and I got it a second time a while later. The last Yakuman I got was the nine gates. There was another one in between, but I don't remember for sure if it was the four closed triplets or big three dragons. I know I've gotten one away from both of those at some point but I forgot which one I managed to pull off in the end. One time I've had the little four winds in my hand but didn't win the hand, the only time I've had an actual yakuman portion completed and not win.
My mom's the only one who got a double yakuman before with the Thirteen Orphans on the 13 way wait for the pair. She didn't even know the rules very well and had to ask if she could do that. lol
