I would also like to hear any suggestions for a new format for possible future Super-Mega Competitions. Perhaps something more related to mahjong gameplay, like making a hand or set. Maybe dealing suit tiles until one player makes a set - something like that.

Or you could, you know, run a mahjong tournament?

That's a slightly bigger change than I had in mind! Although I have no doubt that players would gather from far and wide for the chance to win the prestigious tatty second-hand book.
