he must have thought "No, he couldn't possibly have the third pair". Well, famous last words. Wonder what his hand looks like.

I can actually provide a video with the tiles showing (*as well as the wall tiles, if need be)
I can also tell you that the player to my left (who committed the pao), started with one of each of the three dragons and a lone north and lone south (if my memory is correct).

I actually pulled off a Suu Ankou Tanki earlier tonight in the Game Boy Yakuman game - the original 1989 version that is.
That being said, it was my first Suu Ankou Tanki ever. Unfortunately, two things that are slightly wrong with it...
a. It was a human vs one CPU game, not a four player game...
AND
b. It only gave 48,000 instead of 96,000.

I just got a yakuman on tenhou. It's my first one in years. I didn't even know I got it because I didn't think they had the "all green" yakuman there. I wasn't even aiming for it. Looks like I'm ending the year right, although I wound up losing that particular game!

All Green/Ryuu Iisou is pretty much a standard Yakuman in Riichi Mahjong these days.
In the past (about the 1960s-1970s) or so, it was seen as an "Americanized" hand - and not even Chinese mahjong recognized it then I think.

And yet, MCR does recognize the hand. A nod to the Japanese, perhaps?
