What do you do when you are ahead as dealer and you actually want the deal to pass so the game ends as soon as possible?

What\'s the safest thing to do?

I notice that some places allow the dealer to pass the deal if he is ahead, sometimes only in the last hand. Don\'t know if this is necessarily fair to the other players though.

So... any real strategies or just hope for the best?

I have thought the same, but just usually try to make big hands and quite normal play.

for strategies (i don\'t recommend these, haha)

hold tightly to your single honor tiles, and start throwing them in the middle of the game, people with open hands with no direction probably have a pair so you can get off cheap with 1k taken. this only of course when there is no possibility that the person has a bigger hand (doras).

Another strategy also includes feeding to others, just discard the tiles people seem to need, it\'s quite easy to notice after a few rounds who\'s going for what if they want an open hand.

Play normal, go for a bigger hand than usual, and hope to end the game by making someone go under 0.

if people don\'t go for open hands, you don\'t want to play to them.

If you play on Mahjong time (current rule), it even worse. The dealer can keep the seat simply have tenpai, no matter who win.

No matter which rule, if it not allow player to choose, to give up the east seat, just simply avoid tenpai at the end (make sure you can afford 3000 points). And if no one seem to be able to overtake your 1st place with their hands in that round, You may avoid the win as well.

Those are coward ways, but well, I use it sometimes :P .

And even more ugly way to play, if you can afford to lost some points, just throwing into some one hand :woohoo:.
