automatic mahjong table X_x

heyas,
just got a mahjong table and can\'t for the life of me work out how to get the gears to work properly.
I have a table of rows 0-9 each corresponding to the number of tiles to set for the table.
There is also a 2nd column on top of that (a and b). and the current settings seems to be set at b. and A is what I\'m after as thats the column with 136 tiles in it. eg
at the moment I\'ve set it to gear 1 and it seems to be chewing up 138 tiles.
