This happened to me twice on tenhou. Why is this not a hand? I have a Yaku (no terminals or honors), and it\'s not furiten (wouldn\'t matter anyway because I drew it) I have no idea why I couldn\'t tsumo here.

Hand: 3-4-5 pin, 7 pair bamboo, 3-4-5 bamboo (was trying to win off picked up 3).

Melds: 8 bamboo pon, 6-7-8 pin chi

Hi UB. Welcome to the forum. B)

Depending on which rule-set you play, this Yaku (Tanyao / All Simples) will either be allowed in an open/exposed hand (Kuitan rule Ari) or disallowed (Kuitan Nashi).

I\'ve never played on Tenhou but it looks like they offer both options.

Since your hand is open I guess you\'re playing Nashi?
