Hi Gg,

I took those photos two Fridays ago. Last Friday I spent the whole afternoon playing at my students\' house and then about three hours later went and played in the mahjong parlour. I really noticed - more than ever before - the difference in feel between the tiles. I mean, the difference struck me as outstandingly obvious in a way it had never done before.

The parlour tiles are much squarer compared to my student\'s old mj set with slightly convex backs.

The Take set you have really mimics mechanical table tiles quite closely I think.

Maybe my haptic sensibility has suddenly developed as a result of back-to-back mahjong sessions with different styles of mj tiles. But I\'ve done that plenty of times before but this time the difference really impressed me as it had not done before. Strange!
