End Game Scoring

Post by Ignatius » Mon Apr 12, 2010 11:10 pm

Maybe someone has seen sometimes, at the end of a mahjong game, scores as +21, +3 or -5 or +/-0. Or something like that.

Maybe someone too, has explain this. Sorry if I repeat it.

let´s see... we have 4 players and their scores...

Player A:40,200 (+30)(+10 plus +20 Oka, winner points.)

B:30,700 (+1)

C:18,700 (-11)

D:10,400 (-20)

To find those scores out you must first round up your scores. Then subtract 30 from it (that 30 points are those 30,000 wich we must obtain as minimum to win divided by 1,000).
The score can be positive or negative.
Then the winner adds the Oka +20 points, for being the winner. Every score added, as Oka or Uma, is divided by 1,000 to find those scores.

So if you have between 29,500 or 30,400 will give you +/-0. Less than 29,500 will be negative. And more than 30,400 will be positive.

Some house rules round down the scores, but it´s not common.
Life is as beautiful as you want it to be, but it´s only one. That´s why you must not get tired of it. Don´t care if you don´t say something that seems "important" because your mere existence is important for someone.
