Which ruleset do you use?
When I started with Japanese mahjong, I learned Japanese modern. Then I took a break from playing. I've picked it up again, but I noticed that some yaku weren't there anymore. Turned out I've been playing RCR lately.

Which yaku are you missing and where are you playing now?

And what do the letters RCR stand for?

They're the Riichi Competition Rules of the EMA. Should be a fairly standard modern Japanese rule-set but probably with Kuitan nashi and Ryan Han Shibari.

And Toi-Toi is two yaku apparently. :P

Ah. European rules. OK, thanks.

Thinking about it, both of those rule options could be mistaken for missing yaku. With Kuitan disallowed you couldn't claim Tanyao (All Simples) on an open hand and if the two-Han minimum was in force you wouldn't be able to declare a win with any single one-Han yaku...
