If a red 5 is the dora indicator, does having a 6 count as 2 dora?

Generally no. I've not seen that in any video rule-sets nor printed ones. I'm sure somewhere somebody does use that rule, however
If a 4 comes up as a Dora Indicator, of course the red 5s of the same suit would be worth 2 Dora (or, as they say, Dora-Dora!). If a Kan-Dora indicator turns up another 4 of the same suit, the red 5s would then be worth 3 Dora (1 for Red, 1 for Dora, 1 for Kan Dora).
At least that's my understanding.

I agree with Wavemotion. His example also works with uradora.

Hence, be sad when you see a red-5 as a dora indicator.

It happened to me playing mahjong videogames. It hurts.
