Tenhou Dan lobby

Is it still possible to join the dan lobby in tenhou without paying? the tenhou documentation
http://arcturus.su/tenhou/lobbies-games.html seems to suggest that you can but when i click on the dan lobby it just links me to the "pay for membership" page. Since i don't speak japanese i'm not sure what's going on.

It is possible to join any lobby except 鳳凰(houou/phoenix) without paying.
But I'm sure that answer alone will not help you, so... my guess is that you have reached the required rank (1kyu or higher), but you're probably trying to enter the dan lobby with the Premium client. The Premium flash client has better graphics, but free users can only use the general lobby there. In order to access the dan lobby, you must enter from the "Economy" lobby.
All you need to do is to select "Economy" in before you login, and click on "resend." The window will refresh on its own. Here is an image to guide you (pardon my crude graphics):

If even after switching to economy, you can't play in the dan lobby, then you're probably not the required rank yet, or it's a bug in the system. If such a case persists, email me a screenshot and I'll write a report to Tsuno for you. Although I highly doubt this will happen. Switch to economy and feel free to play.
(Of course, if you're trying to use the windows download'able client, then that's entirely premium, needless to say)

Okay cool, it was the economy/premium mode thing. Thanks for the help xKime

No problem.
Also, do note that once you reach 4dan R1800 or higher, you won't be able to play in the general lobby no matter what. Only dan room, higher dan room, or houou. D:
I still log in with an anonymous account when I want to join the general lobby and own the people and beginners there. You know, because it gets tiring being owned by other people in Higher Dan 特上 lobby.
