Phew! Finally got my password reset confirmed.

I've been getting withdrawal symptoms these past few days but...

...it was worth the wait to be able to do that. 8)

Hey Tom. I did ask twice although I didn't need to. I was very keen to get back on the forum after a few days absence so I sent off the password request this morning and then another about an hour later. Got a separate response to both requests but they each took about three hours to come through.

BTW you need to fix the link here to your most excellent website. It seems that, during the transition process, the link title (instead of the URL) has been mapped to the address field. On a more positive note, the strict limit on URL length seems to have been lifted.

PS I think we are due another Japanese-oriented (pun not intended!) column soon.

I don't know why it took so long? On my computer, I received the password reset message immediately after submitting the form (my SMTP server plays a sound whenever a message is received).

(Also, this forum isn't locked like it says it is)

(And, I like the fixed ALT+S keyboard shortcuts now, it is more consistent now)

How could I lock it now! You're all having so much fun!

Now we need to get our tile images back... Slowly but surely... =S

There is no need to lock it, you can just change the title and description so it doesn't say it is locked.

Perhaps select a better set of tile images, which are smaller and without tile indices (like how real Japanese mahjong tiles are), perhaps also add flowers (which are rarely used in Japnese mahjong, but the set of tiles comes with them anyways), perhaps even Washizu tiles if you really want to, and perhaps sideways tiles.

If it's still possible to move threads this could be relocated to Media or EE...?

These are all good ideas (also tile backs as Ref said), especially the sideways ones for melded sets (and riichi tile in discards).

As with real tiles, though, I guess the Arabic indices on the manzu suit are helpful for learners.
