Okay, so I used a cheat item...

The really funny thing is that among the eight cheat items in the game there are two Tsumikomi items that stack your hand and I used the *weaker* of the two to get that.

This is what I got when I tried the more powerful one!

The extra 300 pts for Honba was a nice bonus. :)

Lol, did you notice it says "suu an kou tanki" even though it is shanpon? w
(Still, how would someone ever distinguish if it was shanpon or tanki from the dealer's starting hand beats me, as there is a chonchon involved)

Is this from the "Mahjong Series DS" series? The tiles look awfully similar.

Anyhow, for my own yakuman, I got a kazoe on 3p today:

3p is just for the lulz, but still.

Yes, I thought exactly the same thing! I assumed that with Tenhou you can apply the rule that you can decide how to arrange your hand in order to give the highest possible score (e.g. Chii-Toitsu vs Ryanpeikou); would be different if it was Chiihou. They could at least display it correctly though.

One of the Simple DS series, yeah. I won't say which one.

I got - without using items - a Chankan yesterday, on a suit tile. I was trying (and failing) to construct a concealed straight and didn't even realise my hand was Tenpai because it had no other Yaku. I would've missed it in real life, I think. It helps that the bots looove making the kongs, almost as much as they love making Hadakatanki Tanyao hands.

Very nice. 8) A flush always gives a good head-start towards counted Yakuman or Sanbaiman.

What's the...? Oh, north is a flower in three-player - of course. At first glance it looks like you passed up a sweet Chinitsu for a lame Honitsu!

With Tenhou I wouldn't allow special yakuman based on the waits, I would consider the 14 tiles to be picked up at the same time, and the hand isn't really waiting. So Suu Ankou is not Tanki, Kokushi and Chuuren cannot claim multiple-sided.

I don't know if my ruling is standard or not.

If we ever play together I'll be sure to refuse your triple yakuman. :P

I guess technically the second "chon" could be seen as the dealer's final draw from the wall, the fourteenth tile of the starting hand just like the winning tile in Chiihou, but the tiles would probably have been mixed by the time the win is declared so it would be unclear...

Although it would be very cool just to see a Tenhou, I think I'd allow the triple for super awesomeness. Well, unless an opponent made it and we were playing for big money - suddenly all three losers have to pay for one whole yakuman each!

Yesterday, on Tenhou (I was playing as a guest, and I forgot to make screenshots) got a Kokushi Musou in Oorasu that lifted me all the way to first (and triggering buttobi on the poor soul that dropped that late chuuman, as well as the end of the south round).

I just made a genuine Rising Sun! :D It was in offline play against bots but still totally awesome. :D

I was leading with just under 60k points, started with just seven terminals and honours and thought "what the heck, might as well give it a try..." I self-drew the winning tile for standard Kokushi on turn 10 and figured I had plenty of time to draw a winner so broke the pair. Had to pass up several furiten rons, then drew the winning tile.

The funny thing is I'd spent a couple of minutes trying to get a good photo off my DS before I noticed that the winning tile was the 1p. So cool! 8)

Too bad the game doesn't recognise double yakuman! (This is the same one that disallowed the 3P counted yakuman recently) I still won the match with 91700 though.

Well, on my 41st game in Janryumon and my third game at the advanced tables (I am still at 6 kyu)...

I made my first ever Yakuman on Janryumon, a Kokushi Musou waiting on the final :north tile.

I did have the option to call a misdeal, but didn't, even though :north was turned up on the wall and another :north was discarded before my first turn.

I thought I wasn't going to make it, since another player called riichi before I drew a 1-dot to call riichi myself, but with 6 tiles left in the wall, the player to the right of me threw the last :north

Score - 32,000 points, and that put him out of the game.

Sorry, but no recording yet - need to somehow get some Kaimo to buy the ability to record and only those with a Japanese address and phone number are able to register to deposit some Kaimo.

Other Yakuman/maximum hands I have made on other sites/games prior to today...
Many Suu Ankou on the Original GB Yakuman game...
Many Kokushi Musou on the Original GB Yakuman game...
One Sou Suu Shii on the Original GB Yakuman game...
One Kazoe Yakuman on the Original GB Yakuman game, while trying to attempt Dai Sharin (or seven consecutive pairs 1 to 7, forget which one I was going for at that time) in the bamboo suit.
At least one Kokushi Musou on the Real Time Mahjong Server (now at Game-Host.org)
One Sou Suu Shii on the Real Time Mahjong Server

So, I've had a number of Yakuman level hands below my belt...

It was bound to happen and it did - I actually fed a Yakuman hand about 10 hours after I had made a Yakuman hand at Janryumon.

And it was the same one, Kokushi Musuo, but this time it was the 9-bam that I fed to the winner. Needless to say, that put me bankrupt.

Oh well.

Hi, welcome to the forum and congrats on the yakuman. :)

If you're playing on computer can't you take a screen grab? On a Windows PC the Print Screen (or PrtSc) key copies the screen as an image file to the clipboard.

Alternatively you can just use a camera to take a photo - that's what I do! I use my cellphone's camera. (e.g. yesterday's DS screenshot)

I think you mean "under my belt" otherwise that's just weird. ;)

I dealt into a Kokushi with a wind tile once. It's easy to assume that the honour tiles are safe discards when perhaps you can see two or even three of the same on the table. It's always a good idea to check your opponents' initial discards and if there are no terminals or honours then you should be more cautious.

I would rather deal into the kokushi myself than having someone else feed the winner.

Not so long ago, the person to my left dealt into a kokushi musou and ended the game right there because of bankrupt. Noooonetheless, I still won first place. It's a nice feeling when you're at a point difference that even a Yakuman won't suffice.

And it's even better to be at a distance that not even a double yakuman can pull you down. I just won a Pure Nine Gates (Junsei Chuurenpoutou).
