Even though some say that Renho requires for the player to have at 1 fan (or 2 fan) yaku in order to go out, it turns out that some play that no yaku is required to go out by Renho...
In Janryumon (even most recent version, JRM3) doesn't require a yaku to go out by Renho and awards a Yakuman...

In the Sega MJ series, Renho has always been a Baiman situation, except that I might have seen it scored as Yakuman at least once.
Renho is nashi in Tenhou.
As for Paarenchan, not many rules recognize it - this is probably what is originally called as "Eighth Extra Hand" - except that the dealer has to win at least 9 hands in a row (including his initial deal) - it seems Paarenchan loosens this to either winning 8 hands in a row (including initial deal) - or something else entirely.
And for Paarenchan, no other yaku is required apparently to hit this one - the dealer just merely needs a complete hand.
Do you recognize either Renho and/or Paarenchan and what requirements do you normally set on those two?

Re: Renho and Paarenchan!
I keep saying that Renho should be on and be at least mangan, because it should never be inferior to Double Riichi Ippatsu. Yaku shouldn't be needed for the same reason. It's still rarer than many Yakuman, so even Yakuman is completely sensible.
Paarenchan just doesn't make sense because huge piles of honba tend to be caused by draws, not so much dealer streaks. The only reason to like it would be Mudazumo - and even there its usage actually makes absolutely zero sense.

You do realize the "honba" by the draws don't count towards the 8 win minimum, right?Iapetus wrote:I keep saying that Renho should be on and be at least mangan, because it should never be inferior to Double Riichi Ippatsu. Unless you decide to use some whacky house rule set.

That makes more sense, yeah. It'd just be hard to keep count.xKime wrote:You do realize the "honba" by the draws don't count towards the 8 win minimum, right?Iapetus wrote:I keep saying that Renho should be on and be at least mangan, because it should never be inferior to Double Riichi Ippatsu.
