Right. I knew that. I meant that. I even said that just above. I just wrote the wrong word without thinking. I should have wrote that you can call riichi and declare a kan on the same turn (see the EDIT). Thanks for pointing that out.

It is interesting document from Berticle.
Shooting bird rule some time I do when I play with Japanese. but the definition of the rule is slightly difference in Japan.(that's why it is purely local, house rule)
Please add following for slang for fun 8)

Gomi(Already mentioned)
Gotto -> 500,1000
Ichisan -> 1,300
Nisen -> 2,000
Ninroku ->2,600
Zanku -> 3,900
Chicchi -> 7,700
Manshu -> Mangan
Pinpinroku -> 11,600
Oyaman -> East mangan
Inpachi -> 18,000
Oyappane -> East haneman
Ni-yon-maru-zetto -> 24,000( It is comes from the Nissan sportive car it is named Fairlady 240Z)

And I'm curios about it mentions Tsumo-giri and Kara-giri but I could find "Tedashi"

Oh, nice! Haven't seen those since Bazoro went down. Doesn't look like a comprehensive list, though. It's missing the very common "Goppa" (5800). I've also heard "Kunroku" for 9600.
