Last sentence is "How to do?".
The first sentence is too hard for my almost-inexistent Japanese skill.
Cats don't do タンヤオ (tan-yao) but タニャーオ (ta-nya-o).

In the last image the girl is saying: if you want a can give you a easy explanation. Do you want?

Your Options:

X: Yes, please.

B: No, it´s ok.

Thanks, I figured it was something like that.

The official website had a couple of new sections added a couple of days ago. One gives an introduction to each of the girls and the other showcases the various modes with some screenshots. Looks like you play against some shady characters in the "assistance" mode.

I'm getting more curious about this "assistance" mode. Looks like you'll be playing against other clients of the Dream Club? Maybe with different girls cheering on each of the players? Don't know what that would change really but, curious to find out. Also, I haven't seen any shots of matches against anything but the girls themselves.. Wonder if during these matches you'll actually be seeing them at the table.

Andriasang has a load more screenshots, although the majority are from the costume/hairstyle/accessories config screens.

This is one of several that appears to show a nice close-up view on the table where the discards are clearly visible despite the 3D view. Maybe you can switch to this mode, or hold a button for it, or perhaps this is applied automatically when playing against the assistance mode opponents.

Some interesting opponents here...!

http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qm5/

This appears to be an invalid Shiisan Pūtā hand - it should be disallowed with the 89 bams. :? It's scored as a mangan, based arbitrarily on 4 han and 40 fu.

http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qlz/

One of the players here has a yakitori marker so that rule option must be available.

http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qm4/

The bottom-right character in this roster is Reiko Mizusaki from The Gal Mahjong on the Nintendo DS (also published by D3), although she seems to have the family name Senjō here.

After using a cheat card your opponents' hands are displayed face up on the table:

It seems you can switch to several points of view, depending on which part of the table you're interested in.

I thought maybe it was a sheet of bubblewrap (which doesn't make it any less odd).

I've seen Chinese sets that were only slightly smaller. :)

As far as I know about this game, it has a tutorial, options (as every game), gallery, versus (arcade mode vs the girls), support mode where you´re cheered by one of the girls playing other people to obtain a kiss, from my point of view it´s funny but kinda stupid, maybe you gain something special playing this mode. And you can play this game online too. Wich is cool. As I´ve read about trophies, looks like there´s a way to enter in a league. You can use you DP in buying "cheats" to use. You can change clothes and the hairstyles of the girls. I´m not specially interested in unlocking those clothes and hairstyles but looks fun.

I wonder if this game will be a good mahjong game. And I wonder if I will be able to play mahjong online smoothly from my country if I buy it...

It could've been a reference to the Playstation Network trophies (and Xbox achievements) that all games have...?

Janline-R works fine online in Europe and America. Just remember (as Rod mentioned) the Xbox version of MDC will probably be region-locked to Japan.

BTW the release date for the PS3 version has been pushed back to 5 April.

Yeah, looking to the trophies it seems that you can play an off line league with the girls. I´m glad to know that I will be able to play online, because I have a PS3. I´ve decided to buy it. I hope it´s funny, I think it will be.

In case you missed it, they released another promo video for MDC. This one is nearly 7 mins long and, has plenty of stuff to pour over. However, I've been playing mostly on Mahjong Fight Club for the PS Vita and, Kindai Mahjong's 777 Town mahjong tables so, those keep me busy until this shows up on PS3 early in April.

Couple of updates on the official website too - a few extra screenshots and two sets of fourteen downloadable link banners.

(but still one section of the website yet to be revealed...!)

I found a site listing the achievements from the Xbox 360 version, including some of the secret ones. Pretty good going since the game was only released today!

http://www12.atwiki.jp/xbox360score/pages/1512.html

There are 50 achievements in total so the PS3 will probably have 51 trophies including the platinum for completing all the others. I'll try to keep this list updated as more of the hidden ones are discovered and added.

- register at the dream mahjong parlour
- view the tutorial mode
- exchange a DP dream card
- change the player silhouette
- assign an opponent slot
- get your first winning hand
- receive (?) your first a payment
- get your first Renchan/continuance
- get your first Mangan
- get your first Haneman
- get your first Baiman
- get your first Sanbaiman
- get your first Yakuman
- get your first double Yakuman
- complete your first Hanchan
- get your first game win
- get busted out (?)
- bust another player
- win in competition mode and see a blessing/celebration demo
- win in support mode and get a kiss
- pass the qualifier for the dream crown ranking league
- win the final of the dream crown ranking league
- compete against all characters at least once
- get a girl to wear a swimsuit
- play your first match in online mode

secret achievements:

- get your first Open Riichi
- win with Ippatsu after Riichi
- play ten times in online mode
- No-ten master (be without Tenpai in ten drawn hands)
- mastery of Tanyao (win with All Simples ten times)
- mastery of Pinfu (win with Pinfu ten times)
- mastery of Dai San Gen (win with Big Three Drags ten times!)
- Yakitori humiliation (get your first Yakitori penalty)
- (more TBA)

Hopefully there'll be one or two cheat items to help with those Yakuman ones...

PS This is my 666th post!
