Last sentence is "How to do?".
The first sentence is too hard for my almost-inexistent Japanese skill.

Cats don't do タンヤオ (tan-yao) but タニャーオ (ta-nya-o).

In the last image the girl is saying: if you want a can give you a easy explanation. Do you want?
Your Options:
X: Yes, please.
B: No, it´s ok.

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
Thanks, I figured it was something like that.
The official website had a couple of new sections added a couple of days ago. One gives an introduction to each of the girls and the other showcases the various modes with some screenshots. Looks like you play against some shady characters in the "assistance" mode.

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
I'm getting more curious about this "assistance" mode. Looks like you'll be playing against other clients of the Dream Club? Maybe with different girls cheering on each of the players? Don't know what that would change really but, curious to find out. Also, I haven't seen any shots of matches against anything but the girls themselves.. Wonder if during these matches you'll actually be seeing them at the table.

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
Andriasang has a load more screenshots, although the majority are from the costume/hairstyle/accessories config screens.
This is one of several that appears to show a nice close-up view on the table where the discards are clearly visible despite the 3D view. Maybe you can switch to this mode, or hold a button for it, or perhaps this is applied automatically when playing against the assistance mode opponents.

Some interesting opponents here...!
http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qlw/
http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qm5/
This appears to be an invalid Shiisan Pūtā hand - it should be disallowed with the 89 bams.
It's scored as a mangan, based arbitrarily on 4 han and 40 fu.
http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qlz/
One of the players here has a yakitori marker so that rule option must be available.
http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qm4/
The bottom-right character in this roster is Reiko Mizusaki from The Gal Mahjong on the Nintendo DS (also published by D3), although she seems to have the family name Senjō here.
http://andriasang.com/comzuu/mahjong_dr ... ges/23qm7/
After using a cheat card your opponents' hands are displayed face up on the table:

I thought maybe it was a sheet of bubblewrap (which doesn't make it any less odd).Shirluban wrote:WTF is the girl with a honeycomb-like plate in front of her face?
I've seen Chinese sets that were only slightly smaller.A very big tile:

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
As far as I know about this game, it has a tutorial, options (as every game), gallery, versus (arcade mode vs the girls), support mode where you´re cheered by one of the girls playing other people to obtain a kiss, from my point of view it´s funny but kinda stupid, maybe you gain something special playing this mode. And you can play this game online too. Wich is cool. As I´ve read about trophies, looks like there´s a way to enter in a league. You can use you DP in buying "cheats" to use. You can change clothes and the hairstyles of the girls. I´m not specially interested in unlocking those clothes and hairstyles but looks fun.
I wonder if this game will be a good mahjong game. And I wonder if I will be able to play mahjong online smoothly from my country if I buy it...

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
It could've been a reference to the Playstation Network trophies (and Xbox achievements) that all games have...?Ignatius wrote:As I´ve read about trophies, looks like there´s a way to enter in a league.
Janline-R works fine online in Europe and America. Just remember (as Rod mentioned) the Xbox version of MDC will probably be region-locked to Japan. And I wonder if I will be able to play mahjong online smoothly from my country if I buy it...
BTW the release date for the PS3 version has been pushed back to 5 April.

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
Yeah, looking to the trophies it seems that you can play an off line league with the girls. I´m glad to know that I will be able to play online, because I have a PS3. I´ve decided to buy it. I hope it´s funny, I think it will be.

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
In case you missed it, they released another promo video for MDC. This one is nearly 7 mins long and, has plenty of stuff to pour over. However, I've been playing mostly on Mahjong Fight Club for the PS Vita and, Kindai Mahjong's 777 Town mahjong tables so, those keep me busy until this shows up on PS3 early in April.

Re: Mahjong Dream Club
I found a site listing the achievements from the Xbox 360 version, including some of the secret ones. Pretty good going since the game was only released today!
http://www12.atwiki.jp/xbox360score/pages/1512.html
There are 50 achievements in total so the PS3 will probably have 51 trophies including the platinum for completing all the others. I'll try to keep this list updated as more of the hidden ones are discovered and added.
