Couple of days ago i was playing online and started with the following hand, i was not East and the Dora indicator was B1 (making B2 the dora):
B1-B2-B2-B2-B7-C2-C3-C4-C6-C8-D5-D6-D7.
Starting with 3 Dora\'s was lucky, but there it didn\'t stop, my first pick was the C7! Naturally i claimed Dabaru Riichi and discarded B7.
I also was lucky enough to ron on the B3 (was waiting with B1-B2-B2-B2 so my waits were B1 or B3). I got awarded:
Daburu Riichi, 2 fan
Doras, 6 fan (talk about lucky the ura dora indicator was also B1)
And Pinfu, 1 fan.
Alltough i didn\'t mind the latter, i was a bit surprised to get Pinfu. It does make a bit sense, i always thought that pinfu is translated to a 0 points hand and because of the multiple waits i can\'t claim edge wait (or could i? makes no sense, but if i wanted it too, could i claim edge wait?). But i always associated pinfu to a open ended chow wait (eg B2-B3).
So the questions:
1) Could i claim edge wait if i wanted to for some reason in this scenario?
2) Was it correct i got awarded Pinfu?
Thanks in advance.

Re:Pinfu question
You can\'t choose to be in single edge, double edge or single tile wait unless you have enough overlap to make that case. (something monstrous like 3334445599RRR)
4555 => 3,6 double edge, 4 single tile wait. 2 fu pointts only for the 4.
1222 = \"0\", 3 single edge (zero never counts as a valid tile), 1 single tile. Both the 1 and 3 would get 2 fu for them.
In this case, it\'s wrong to be able to score pinfu since the hand says you can only claim pinfu on a \"flat hand\", the only exception being the 2 fu for tsumo which can be ignored.
The irony of it all is that in this case, the score wouldn\'t change from 8 to 9 han. But yes, it\'s wrong and can potentially affect other games.

Re:Pinfu question
1) 2 fu from the edge wait (as Senechal gladly explained above)
2) wrongly awarded pinfu
2) wrongly awarded pinfu
