Has anyone here actually played IRL where there are Red Threes or Red Sevens instead of Red Fives - I heard that this is more likely in places farther than Tokyo that does this.
If Red Threes are involved, will an otherwise Ryuu Iisou hand with an akasanzou disqualify it from Ryuu Iisou?

Re: Red Threes or Red Sevens
This makes me want to relook at some of the pro Japanese women's videos, which included Red 3's. I recall red 3-pin, but not for the other two. Considering Ryuu iisou... having a red-3 would kinda defeat that purpose, wouldn't it? But, I'm going to guess: there'd be an exception.

Re: Red Threes or Red Sevens
I played at San Group parlors, and they use two red 3p.
No red 3s or 3m, obviously. They have other whacky rules for being such a successful commercial jansou. For example, an ankan on 3p will get you 3000 points and 3 chips from everyone instantly. They really take the "3" thing seriously. Come to think of it, it was at the 3rd floor of a building as well...
